I hereby wish to apply for the position of welfare officer as a social worker for the family. I am a trained individual with good high school credits and an associate degree in Behavioral and Science. From school I have acquired various skills among them excellent communication capabilities, customer service skills, credible computer skills, and learnt how to be a vibrant member of a team. I have also achieved a lot in the language-learning field by achieving trilingual status in English, Farsi, and Urdu due to my ability to be detail oriented in every assignment and duty.
In terms of experience, I took interest in the Patient representative Service in Acaria Health and Ownership Pharmacy, Commerce CA in 2009. From here, I learnt how to call and coordinate health services, the process of reconciling patient balances, handling of complex transactions, and filing of medication refills with pharmacists among others. These skills were also helpful in my next place of work as a sales associate where I ensured all customers receive outstanding services, as I worked towards keeping up with complex transactions and effective teamwork.
In my most recent place of work at Northridge Hospital, Northridge CA, working as an administrative under the department of Human Resource enabled me to understand further the essence of excel data sheets and power point presentations. In addition, I was able to summaries Title 22 and EMTALA elements for transferring patients from Northridge ED to another facility. Other activities included the audition of transfer files from Northbridge such that all the EMTALA requirements were met. Lastly, I played a major role in the auditing, coordinating hospital policies making sure the Joint Commission’s standard is met, and all the requirements are addressed.
