From the marketing activities of Columbus Day as regards the promotion and sale of Nissan cars, several vital lessons were learnt. I noted that quality is the best form of advertisement especially when dealing with a reputable brand, consumers will be more interested on the recognition and relevance. There is an encouragement towards emotional connection with the consumers as opposed to relying on proof of the product during its promotion. Consumers rely on the connection established to enable preference of choice. Through the responses acquired by the feedbacks and questionnaire, measurement of marketing is established. It shows the success or failure to market the product to the target. Without promotion, the product cannot be easily sold or targeted by the consumers. They need to be aware of its existence and attributes. In addition, marketing is determined by successful communication.
The main of marketing is to be able to identify and understand the customer. Through this, the product generated or service delivered fits the consumer as well as selling itself with ease. Brilliant marketing entails placing the product being promoted and figuring the rightful position to the target market. Marketing requires focusing on the delivery of the product, as mean of solving the customer’s problem or requirement with it. The product is meant to benefit the consumer, and therefore opportunities presented by the target market should be addressed adequately. Innovation with creativity and ingenuity is a massive plus for any successful marketing strategy. One does not need to conform to old traditions or set standards to increase the appeal from consumers. It was evidenced by the thoughtful process of trade-ins with the consumers, which was a brilliant idea from their responses.
